In my last blog I was just saying what social book marking is and what are the advantages. Now whenever there is introduction of anything in the market, people are obviously curious about the applications. Same is the case with social book marking. Until and unless you can use it for your benefits, why will you show any interest?

While building a website of your own, the first target that comes to your mind is the page rank of the site and inviting more and more traffic to the site. Trust me, taking the site to the first page of these pages and getting thousands visitors everyday, is not at all as difficult as it sounds. And this social book marking can be your weapon to trigger the traffic. All you need is to follow some of the following mantra.

• It is always better when people other than you book mark your sites. So make it easy for others to book mark your page. Cooperation from all the fellow bookmarkers is really necessary for increasing traffic.
• Use catchy headlines for the articles. Often people just skip some of the good articles just because of the titles if they do not find it interesting. Check the grammar and spelling. Silly mistakes in both spelling and grammar can damage the impression of your sites to your viewers.
• Make an attractive and informative first paragraph. Content is the king. So just a great first paragraph will not do. Putting some rubbish in rest part of the articles and book marking them is zero to the viewers. While writing, be sure you are using authentic facts and figures.
• Most of the social books marking sites keep your web page in the front page for 24 hours. So determine the time for your submission very wisely. A submission when most of your supporters are not online is complete wastage of the precious time.
• Your site may be on anything and everything like health, entertainment or technology. During the submission just check once whether they are posted in the right category or not because all of the book marking sites are not for all the websites.
• Manual submission is always better than any automated submitters.
• Some of the topics often create a chance of hot discussion among your viewers. Always respond to the comment you get about your post.
• Put the RSS feeds, newsletter subscriptions, affiliate marketing in some of the visible position on your web page. People often subscribe these services when the site is on the front page of any important social book marking websites.
